Here we have a list of our favourite local trails that we know intimately. These trails started it all and with good reason. We'd love to introduce you to some!

Coast Trail

This is the trail where most of us first fell in love with trail running. From the Aylard Farm parking lot, we would head straight for Creyke Point, right on the Salish Sea, where we would often be greeted by a perched Eagle looking out over...

Goldstream River

The Goldstream River feeds into Finlayson Arm and hosts a massive annual salmon run in the Fall that sees thousands of spawning salmon, hundreds of seagulls, eagles everywhere you look and a resident black bear filling

Gowlland Tod

The trails of Gowlland Tod work their way along the edges of Finlayson Arm, our local fjord. From Caleb Pike, a short climb has you at Holmes Peak, the first of a number of amazing viewpoints. A fun, fast descent from Holmes Peaks has you cruising

Mt. Douglas Park

Referred to locally as Mt. Doug, or Pkols, this is an absolute gem of trail running in the city. A nice, wide trail loops around the mountain, through towering trees giving you a taste of what lies above. Multiple snaking, singletrack options

Mt. Finlayson

The ascent up the front side of Mt. Finlayson is a local favourite and can be very busy. That’s why we prefer to do it first thing in the morning or at night. Headlamps are so awesome!

Thetis Lake Park

Thetis Lake offers a huge variety of terrain and trails, as well as multiple swimming spots. The best trails at Thetis Lake take you into a back country rarely explored by locals, so relative solitude this close to downtown is virtually always assured.
